I guess I can’t expect anything different. These “free’gimicks where you get a laptop or an mp3 player always seem to be too good to be true. I completed all my offers and such in April and they processed the paperwork in June and now its August and they are telling me it will still be another month or so. We will see , and I will be in close contact with them to make sure they pay up.
I would like to apologize to the people who I accused of stealing my ipod, actually the person I accused. I will be stopping by on Monday to say it in person shortly after they open. My ipod was found in a box that had wedding presents in it. We are still trying to figure out how it got in there, not tat I care I have it back. I would also like to thank the People at Stolenipods.com for all of there help and I would suggest anyone use their service to keep track of your electronics. Again sorry to the person I was accusing, although I still want the other item that was left there back.
Makkaio and I used to run a website together. I t was called two drunk guys talking about crap. I noticed the domain was recently purchased. Although nothing is up right now, it seems almost a shame that we didn’t keep it going. The whole site was put together to post our “podcast” before anyone was doing them. here is a link to the old site. Feel free to leave a comment and let us know how bad our old site really was.
Time-out no wait I called time, guys you have to stop I called time-out. I’m not playing with you guys anymore. Does this sound familiar? Well to Philippine Police it may. Here is the article from Reuters.
Ok, so the title is confusing but it was better then CRAP Continued or CRAP2. Anyways I had a comment to the last post and I think it is worth a post all by itself :
Thanks Ken, it looks worth the try.
I lost my ipod the other day, I hate to say it, but I think it was stolen out of my rental car from one of the employees at the rental company. That’s the last time I had it. I would say that I had left it in the car but when I called to check they said nothing was in the car and I know I left something else in it. So at the very least they lied about the one item. Anyways I am trying a website out called stolen ipods. We’ll see if they actually can help or not.
Finally it’s all over, well not all but the big stuff. The reason for the lack of posts is simple, we have had many trade, and other shows for the business, but the biggest of all I got Married!!!!!! The last month and a half has been dedicated to wedding and honeymoon. Â
Well last week I finally got my copy of Sun Microsystems, Solaris. I gotta tell ya it was not very impressive at all. It was like going back in time and using old versions of Linux with Gnome, I couldn’t get a bunch of my hardware to work and the overall look and feel was not much better than Windows ME. Anyone looking for an alternative to Microsoft should steer clear of this one at least until version 11 comes out . Try something much easier like Ubuntu.
Just a quick note I still have not received my copy of Solaris. The folks at Sun have seemed to have forgotten me. I went to their site and requested a new one so we’ll see if I get this one. On the other hand I am patiently awaiting the new Ubuntu coming out in April. I can’t wait to see if they have support for certain features on my laptop. More coming shortly………

If it is stolen you flag it on their website and the next time it is connected it sends you information regarding its location, the person’s username, computer name and more.
